The last week in November and this Parrotia Persica was covered in yellow azo leaves and dark seed cases - such a striking combination of colours, textures and line. The vibrancy of colour on the tree has to be seen to be believed! I did not hold back on brightness intending the experience of this banner to be visually warming and cheering.

I used handmade Seichosen paper from Japan which is unbleached and has a soft natural colour. The paper has a unique and subtle texture of kozo fibres along with the watermarks of the paper makers Su or frame.

The piece is suspended from a simple batten and clear thread which can be removed on request if an alternative method of display is desired.
