I painted Pink Hydrangea Flag on my studio floor, enjoying the easy mood of summer. The piece is light, bright, and radiates happiness – exactly what we all need sometimes.

I've used a 97cm x 1m piece of Japanese Kozo paper, the same material renowned for Shoji screens. This paper is a magical blend of lightness, luminosity, fibrous texture, and strength.

The background is a field of Titanium White pigment which lifts the pink petals and green leaves giving a light and airy feeling.

Hanging is easy with a simple wooden batten and clear synthetic thread. The Pink Hydrangea Flag can rolled up and posted in a cardboard container. I offer free postage and packing within the UK
