Geranium 'Rozanne' Flag

Geranium 'Rozanne' Flag

97 x 100 cm | Kozo, Shoji paper
Geranium ‘Rozanne’ Flag was created with bold strokes and vibrant pigments on Kozo Shoji paper. I painted this small flower on a grand scale using my biggest calligraphy brush. The pigments are mixed with gum arabic and honey to hold them together. As the brushstrokes dry the pigments separate subtly. These tiny points of pure colour create a texture which mimics the ever-changing shades of real blooms in different lights.

This light and airy piece is a way to add colour and the vibrant energy of nature to your surroundings.

The pigments I have used are Cobalt Violet Dark, Cobalt Violet Light, Ultramarine Pink, Ultramarine Violet, Quinacridone Magenta, Oriental Blue, Titanium White, and Madder Lake Genuine.

Hanging is easy with a simple wooden batten and clear synthetic thread. The Flag can rolled up and posted in a cardboard container. I offer free postage and packing within the UK
